"The Goddess of America" inspired by the melting of cultures in America aims to symbolise the face of America. Playing on the tale of King Midas, the central form is made of Gold, showcasing its desirable nature, yet the blind figure sits stoic and strong in the centre of the print, with many forces weighing on her mind and pulling her down. The motifs of technology, politics, and nature fight to maintain balance on the thin Unryuu paper, simultaneously empowering the figure with the halo yet framing her with suspicion. The colours of the American flag help contextualise the piece. The Goddess of America, the Print project based on the Melting of cultures aims to bridge the gap between the experienced cultures of India and America.
